There seems to be a really cool trend circulating wherein retailers sell cool, ruffled variations of (mainly button up and collared) shirts. I noticed it a few days ago in Zara and then again at H&M. I'm totally on board with it. There is a certain whimsical and playful quality to it that drew me in. An update to the often very boring office attire, or more options for under those overalls. Maybe a bit of a nod to the great degree to which personal style has (finally) become more important in the fashion realm. Or maybe it's just a ruffle trend. Regardless, here is the eye candy:

I think that ultimately, a classic white button down is a classic for a reason but it's certainly nice to have some fun, no? At the very least, these ruffled silhouettes seem to exclaim, "Generic office attire be gone!" I won't argue with that.
